One of the names in the Bible that not many dispute or argue about is the name Yehowshaphat. Written in English it is incorrectly translated as Jehoshaphat, but just remember that the J is a English alteration of the Hebrew letter Y and that they drop the W because they claim the W is pronounced as a V (which is false) but in these instances they simply drop the letter W claiming it is silent.
The name Yehowshaphat means Yehowah-Shaphat, or Yehowah-Judges. Here we can see clearly that combining the Creator’s name with a word we use Yehow at the start and add the second word which in this case is Shaphat. In Greek it is written as ιωσαφατ, the first two letters Iota and Omega represent and is pronounced like Yeh-ōw, then we have the rest of the letters Sigma, Alpha, Phi, Alpha, and Tau representing the rest of the name s(h)-a-ph-a-t.
So as we see the first part of our Creators name Yeh-ow is transliterated as ιω, so to complete the name Yeh-ow-ah, we would have to add an Alpha, α for the ah sound. So in Greek the Creator’s name could be written as ιωα, Iota for Yeh, Omega for ōw, and Alpha for ah. So in conclusion, there is a way to write Yehowah in Greek. But we know that the Greeks took out his great name and replaced it with Kurios.
If we look at the name Yehowshuwa, the true name of the Messiah, and of the Leader who led after Moses and who brought the Hebrews to the promised land, we see that the Greek text deliberately incorrectly transliterated the name as ιησουν, written in English letters as Iesoun pronounced as yeh-ay-soon. As you can see, it is not a correct transliteration of Yehowshuwa. If we take the same approach in Greek as in the name Yehowshaphat, and other names that start with Yehow , the Greek transliteration of the name Yeh-ow-s-(h)uw-a would be ιωσυα. Iota, omega, sigma, upsilon, and alpha. Another telling sign that the Greeks incorrectly transliterated Yehowshuwa is that in the Old Testament of the King James bible we see that this name is translated to Jehoshua or Joshua the shortened form, but when we get to the New Testament it is incorrectly translated as Jesus.
Here is an example of the Greek lettering system, so you can see clearly yourself how to spell or transliterate names. One can see there has been a deliberate change of the true names that are most important to everyone. I have also added the Hebrew lettering system.
Getting back to the name Yehowshaphat, we see in the bible that there was a king who ruled Yehowdeh (erroneously rendered as Judah in most bibles) for 25 years. It was one of the most prosperous times for the people of Yehowdeh (Judah). Yehowshaphat cleansed the land of it false idols and icons, he also sent out Levites and Priests to teach the law of YEHOWAH throughout the land of Yehowdeh (Judah).
2 Chronicles 17:3 And YEHOWAH (
the LORD) was with Yehowshaphat (Jehoshaphat), because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim.
In the above statement we have an interesting word. The word or name Baalim, if we look in Strong’s concordance we see that they claim Baal = Lord.
Orig: the same as 1167; Baal, a Phoenician deity:–Baal, (plural) Baalim. #H1167
GR Strong: #G896
Baal = “lord”
n pr m
1) supreme male divinity of the Phoenicians or Canaanites
2) a Reubenite
3) the son of Jehiel and grandfather of Saul
n pr loc
4) a town of Simeon, probably identical to Baalath-beer.
Here we get the example that Lord can actually mean Baal. So another way of reading that, is that Yehowshaphat walked with YEHOWAH and not “the LORD”. It is the scribes that have changed the name of Yehowah and replaced it with the word LORD which can literally mean Baal. So here we have a clear statement that we are not to seek Baal which can and is translated at times as Lord.
This may sound a bit harsh but those who say they are following the Lord are they really worshiping the true Creator? It states that Yehowshaphat kept the commandments of Yehowah.
2 Chronicles 17:4 But sought to the God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.
The commandments of Yehowah are the ten commandments, it is stated that the ten commandments was originally written with the finger of Yehowah in stone tablets. Many people would like to tell you that the commandments are done away with and that Jesus (a false Greek name) fulfilled the law, which in their minds means that they no longer have to keep them as long as they believe in Jesus ( a false Greek name).
But if we read what the Messiah, whose name is Yehowshuwa truly said, he said that not one jot or tittle shall pass from the law.
Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Many will argue that to keep the law one must also then get circumcised, do sacrifices, etc. But that is just an excuse, because it is only the Ten Commandments that was written by the finger of Yehowah and that it would stand to reason that these commandments are what all people should keep. So it states that not one of the smallest letters, which in this case is the Hebrew letter Yowd, and not one of the smallest points will be changed.
This means that we are to worship Yehowah with all our heart, mind and soul. Many people who call themselves Christian, worship Jesus Christ as their God, they are worshipping a false Greek God. The worship of this false Greek God was enforced by Constantine the Great, re-enforced by the Catholic Church, and then all Christian Churches that have come after (out of) her.
Christians and all others have been lied to. The scribes and pharisees have preached and taught that one has to worship Jesus Christ as their new God. The preachers are preaching a lie. They have twisted the scriptures to suit their agenda and have everyone worshipping a false God whom they call Jesus Christ. The Yehowdeh (Jews) also have taken out the Creators name and substituted Adonay as his name.
22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord
GODYehowah; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went . 23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORDYehowah, saith the Lord GODYehowah, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. 24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. 25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean :
In the above verse it claims that Yehowah will sanctify his great name that was profaned among the heathen. Where will he do this? In the valley of Yehowshaphat.
Joel (Yehowel) 3:2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Yehowshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
Joel 3:12 (Yehowel) Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Yehowshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.
